The Project
Procter Cast Stone manufactured three bespoke arches along with the plinth within an exceptionally challenging site programme.
Background
Funded by Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership. Warwickshire County Council and £4.9m from the Department for Transport’s New Stations Fund, this project was commissioned as part of a major rail investment scheme to boost economic regeneration between Nuneaton and Leamington Spa.
The Problem
Our design team liaised with the contractor and project architect to produce three bespoke arches that would provide a traditional and aesthetically pleasing front facade to this station rebuild. We had to work around issues to do with the correct support of the units whilst not compromising thier integrity.
The Solution
Procter manufactured vapour cured cast stone copings and advised a suitable method of securing the copings. Different sample colours were produced for the client to choose the best one that suited the location,
The Results
We manufactured three stunning arches and plinth that can be enjoyed by users of the station for many years to come.
